What Does It Mean When the Recovery Server Could Not Be Contacted? When installing a macOS update with a macOS installer, your Mac needs to reach the Apple server. When it says 'the recovery server could not be contacted, it means that your Mac failed to build a connection with the Apple server. There are multiple culprits behind this issue.

The main way that extreme macro differentiates itself in software terms is the use of focus stacking software, in which various stacking vendors compete for the limited number of stackers. Most notable of these are Zerene Stacker and Helicon Focus.

Stacked shot of a fly. Extreme macro stacked images would not be possible were it not for the specialised stacking software that exists.

  1. Most astrophotography software are for macOS and Windows. Due to the complex processing of the material, you can’t use such software on a smartphone or online. Specialized astrophotography software takes time to master the settings and get familiar with the interface. That’s why they are made for professionals.
  2. Name: the software's name and link to official web site Free: a full-featured version is provided for no charge OSS: the software is provided under a free and open-source license Linux: the software runs natively (or using the specified transparent emulator) under Linux MacOS: the software runs natively under Mac OS Win32: the software runs natively under Microsoft Windows NT based systems.

Helicon Focus Crack Mac Officeinstmank.

Beyond this, there are also standard software tools that are very handy to use with extreme macro, especially software that helps to bring out details in images.

Stacking Software

Although Adobe Photoshop can stack images, it is just not a great tool for this job as it tries to take all the images in as separate layers. Which means you need an unbelievably fast PC to be able to cope. Much better to use one of the specialised stacking applications that are out there, specifically designed for the job.

Zerene Stacker

Zerene Stacker is a Java based piece of stacking software that gives good results almost from the off, and truly excellent results once its intricacies are mastered. Zerene comes in various editions and has a GUI to be able to use it with Stackshot. What is especially nice about Zerene is that its author, Rik, hosts and is a very active member of photomacrography.net and is always willing to give advice about his software.

Zerene Stacker also further differentiates itself above other stacking packages by the availability of third party addons: ZereneVS, Slabberjockey, BugSlabber and MakeSubStackingScript ( Windows Mac ) are all extra utilities to generate substacks (slabs). These do not exist for any other stacking software packages.

Helicon Focus

Helicon Focus is a specialised stacking application put out by Helicon Soft, which includes Helicon Remote, a WiFi stacking controller utility. From my limited exposure to the software it can produce good results, but does not include any retouching unless you pay up for the professional version. In the professional version it does not provide any mechanism for retouching between two of its own outputs. Batch operations also require the professional edition.

ImageJ

ImageJ is a free java application that can be freely downloaded from here, and also does focus stacking with imageJ extended depth field module. ImageJ is written in Java and runs on Linux, Mac OS X and Windows, in both 32-bit and 64-bit modes.

Bringing Out Extreme Macro Detail

Extreme macro is all about the details, especially in the stacking

Extreme macro is all about the details, especially in the stacking. Stackers take great pride in showing 1:1 screenshots showing the amazing amount of detail that some of these images manage to capture, and the ongoing quest for lenses for the great 1:1 100% screenshot occupies a not insignificant amount of effort. This sort of detail capture doesn't happen without a bit of help, and I find that Topaz Detail is a great help with this. Topaz Detail is a plugin that I use with adobe Photoshop and is a valuable addition to the extreme macro toolbox.

Focus Bracketing for Extreme Macro

Focus bracketing software is bound to increase in the next few years as it's obvious software whose time has come. For you Canon users, Magic Lantern might be worth a look, as it will help you take focus bracketed shots to be able to make stacks with them. I suspect that it is only a matter of time that a form of focus stacking will be present in most digital cameras, as it's such an obvious thing to do.

Windows has CombineZM, which is free focus stacking software, but the two solutions I found out there for the Mac are not free, and I don't wanna pay for software that I won't use that often yet.
Soooooooooo, I was wondering if anybody knew if there was a way to do focus stacking on Mac OS X, any free software that I don't know about? Or even better, does anybody know how to do it in photoshop (I have CS3)?

Don't know how well it works though. I'll have to try it later. The Photoshop question is still out there though!

Dont know about any software for the Mac, but it can be done manually in CS3 using the healing brush tool.
I havent done it many times so i probbaly wouldnt explain it very well. Basically you open up all the images from the stack, select one and using the healing brush tool, clone the in focus parts from the other images in the stack onto the one you selected.
LordV will probably be able to explain it better.

Think you've got the only free solutions I know of. Think that link is a plugin for ImageJ ?
I know some people do stacks using layers in PS but I find it easier just to use the healing brush tool.

so you must be running Windows on your Mac? I presume that means more risk from virus attacks.

Thats because even the lamest script kiddie wouldn't waste their time writing a virus for a computer operating system with at best 15% market share. And that is 4x what it was before people were able to do precisely what Fernando is doing.
IMHO of course

I use Macs too although I have an old Compaq downstairs .
Keith's Image stacker (only mac) only uses FITS format images. I have tried it and it is pretty complex so much so I have not figured out how to use it . Like many authors , they don't know how to explain the stuff in simple language ( and there is a tutorial but it does not help).
Same with NIH, imageJ .
I have done some RGB work with photoshop and at least I have gotten some results although not as good as I have wanted.

The Recovery Server Could Not Be Contacted High Sierra Installer

Leading payroll company PrismHR is suffering a massive outage after suffering a cyberattack this weekend that looks like a ransomware attack from conversations with customers.

PrismHR is an online payroll, benefits, and human resources platform used by Professional employer organizations (PEO). PEOs use this platform to provide payroll, HR, and benefits services to their clients, commonly small and medium-sized businesses.

PrismHR is a massive business services company servicing over 80,000 organizations with 2 million employees and total annual payrolls of over $80 billion.

If you have first-hand information about this or other unreported cyberattacks, you can confidentially contact us on Signal at +16469613731 or on Wire at @lawrenceabrams-bc.

Weekend cyberattack

Here’s detailed steps on how to install macOS High Sierra on a hackintosh using the Clover method with the HFS Method. Apple introduced a new file system called Apple File System (APFS). When High Sierra is installed the drive is automatically converted over to APFS, but there is a way to disable it easily and keep the drive as HPFS by editing an XML file during the install.

In numerous conversations with PEOs and their clients today, BleepingComputer has learned that PrismHR suffered a cyberattack on Sunday.

For PEOs using PrismHR's platform, they are given a dedicated subdomain on prismhr.com that hosts their client portal. This attack has caused PEOs, and their clients, to lose access to PrismHR's customer portals, which are now displaying the following message:

It is Company policy to accommodate, and not interfere with, standard technical measures it determines are reasonable under the circumstances, i.e., technical measures that are used by copyright. When BleepingComputer contacted PrismHR with questions regarding this attack, they confirmed the attack occurred on February 28th, 2021. However, PrismHR would not share further details other than. We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow us.

We're Working on Getting the System Back Online
The system you are attempting to access is currently unavailable. We're sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your continued patience as we work to restore the system to operation as quickly as possible.

Those PEOs who host the PrismHR software in their own cloud infrastructure are unaffected.

In email templates provided by PrismHR, PEOs are telling clients that PrismHR 'is currently experiencing an interruption of service impacting over 200 PEOs across the United States.'

The emails say that payroll will not be affected this week and that they are waiving administrative fees for the current payroll period due to the outage.

While these emails do not indicate that an attack occurred, clients' phone conversations with PEOs paint a different picture than a simple outage.

According to PEO employees and their clients, PrismHR has told them that they suffered a 'suspicious activity' activity over the weekend and immediately shut down their servers and network to protect the 'integrity of their systems.'

BleepingComputer was told that PrismHR is now restoring their systems from backups located on disaster recovery systems.

Could

PrismHR has told customers that their data was not stolen during the attack.

When BleepingComputer contacted PrismHR with questions regarding this attack, they confirmed the attack occurred on February 28th, 2021. However, PrismHR would not share further details other than the statement below.

'We recently experienced a cyber incident that affected our payroll and benefits software used by Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs) throughout the US. We immediately disabled access to the system to protect customer information and engaged top-tier security experts to help on this. We are working quickly to restore customer access to our platform. While we are still looking into this, there is currently no evidence of unauthorized access or theft of data contained on our servers.' - PrismHR

Likely a ransomware attack

While PrismHR has not specified what kind of cyber incident was detected, from the details shared with BleepingComputer, this is likely a ransomware attack.

Most enterprise-targeting ransomware attacks occur over the weekend while employees are not present, computers are not being used, and there is less attention paid to the network.

This decrease in monitoring allows threat actors who have been lurking quietly on the network to begin the process of noisily deploying the ransomware to encrypt systems.

Unfortunately, before encrypting devices, most ransomware gangs steal unencrypted data to be used in double-extortion attacks.

If this turns out to be a ransomware attack, the nature of PrismHR's business could make this disastrous.

Considering that the PrismHR handles the payroll, benefits, and human resources for thousands of organizations, they would also have very sensitive information stored in their systems.

This data may include social security numbers, payroll, ID cards, employee benefit information, information for beneficiaries, and a wide assortment of other sensitive information.

The Recovery Server Could Not Be Contacted High Sierra 10.13

While PrismHR has told clients that there has not been a breach of data and that payroll is secure, we will not know for sure unless the ransomware gangs leak the data.

Update 3/2/21: Added info that self-hosted PrismHR customers are unaffected.
